DENVER, CO — Three hundred players from 19 teams spanning seven states hit Big Bear Ice Rink in Denver Feb. 15-18 and at the end of the whirlwind OneHockey weekend, four new champions were crowned.

OneHockey, widely recognized as one of the industry’s best, most entertaining youth hockey tournament hosts, crowned the Kansas City Jr. Mavericks (PeeWee A), Florida Golden Wolves (Bantam AA), Dallas Penguins (U-16 AA) and Colorado Rampage (U-18 AA) to conclude festivities on Monday, Feb. 18.

“The tournament was amazing. Never seen a lobby so full all the time,” Tournament Director Shaun Lund said. “It created a very busy atmosphere and everybody was walking around with smiles and laughter.

“Championship games were all very exciting!,” Lund said. “Even though it wasn’t our biggest event it operated super smooth. Even got a little bit of snow!”

The Jr. Mavericks slipped past the Rampage, 2-1, in the PeeWee A final before the Rampage stormed back and defeated the DJHA Penguins, 4-2, in the U-18 AA finale. The Golden Wolves from Florida skated past the Foothill Flyers, 4-1, in the Bantam AA championships while the the Dallas Penguins edged the Colorado Springs Tigers, 4-3, in the U-16 championship bout.

All told, teams from seven states — California, Colorado, Florida, Missouri, Texas, Utah, Wyoming — vied for titles.
