Welcome to the next installment in a series of weekly videos from Hockey Coach Vision!
Each Wednesday for the next several weeks, the staff at Hockey Coach Vision, including Larry Huras, Filip Kostovic and Franjo Zajec, will release a new training video to help you as a coach pass on hockey-specific tips, training and skills to the next generation of ice hockey players.
In our 10th installment, Hockey Coach Vision continues with “Kosice Low 2@1 DShot.”
“This drill works low offensive zone skills of both defensemen and forwards. This is a great morning pregame skate drill or post-practice skill development drill.” — Larry Huras
-Forwards divide up into three groups. F1 passes up to D7 then goes to net to tip his shot.
-D7 now makes give and go passes with F3 then defends the quick 2@1 against F3 and F5
– D man shoots for the forwards stick and forward must time his skating speed and position.
-Make one-touch passes when possible
