Welcome to the next installment in a series of weekly videos from Hockey Coach Vision!
Each Wednesday for the next several weeks, the staff at Hockey Coach Vision, including Larry Huras, Filip Kostovic and Franjo Zajec, will release a new training video to help you as a coach pass on hockey-specific tips, training and skills to the next generation of ice hockey players.
In our second installment, Hockey Coach Vision continues with “JW 4 Blue Line Warm-Up.”
Description: This drill is typically run early in practice as a warm-up drill for players 12 and older. Players form four lines in the middle zone on the blue line. Players work from two sides making and taking four quick passes before taking a long stretch pass. Quick give-and-go passing can evolve to one-touch passing for older players. Players should be encouraged to call for each pass.
