Welcome to the next installment in a series of videos from Hockey Coach Vision!
Every few weeks throughout the season, the staff at Hockey Coach Vision, including Larry Huras, Filip Kostovic and Franjo Zajec, will release a new training video to help you as a coach pass on hockey-specific tips, training and skills to the next generation of ice hockey players.
In our 24th installment, Hockey Coach Vision continues with “Hand Grenade.”
“This is a small-area quick transition drill that is great for developing special-team skills with an emphasis on quick passing and quick release shooting.” — Larry Huras
-Three players on each team who can score, battle 1-on-1 for possession in the middle with two stationary passers/shooters on each team on the sides.
-Coach chips in pucks to start and when the puck goes in the net or out of play.
-Change players either on set number of goals or after several seconds.
We are proud to present to you our newest editions to your team, the Goalie and the Coach. They can be added into every drill as new players, or by replacing any existing player you already have. #hockeycoach #hockeyapp #drills #hockeylovers #coaching pic.twitter.com/45IU3RXC24
