Welcome to the next installment in a series of weekly videos from Hockey Coach Vision!
Each Wednesday for the next several weeks, the staff at Hockey Coach Vision, including Larry Huras, Filip Kostovic and Franjo Zajec, will release a new training video to help you as a coach pass on hockey-specific tips, training and skills to the next generation of ice hockey players.
In our 15th installment, Hockey Coach Vision continues with “Charron Backcheck to LZD.”
“This drill works on back checking, communication, offensive zone entries, reading the rush and low 3-on-3 play.” — Larry Huras
– F1, F2, F3 line up beside net ready to back check
– One player from each forward line lines up on the other side of the net ready to attack
– On whistle, two attacking forwards come off boards, exchange passes and head up ice against D1 and D2
– Coach now sends back checker and attacking forward to create 3-on-3 situation
We are proud to present to you our newest editions to your team, the Goalie and the Coach. They can be added into every drill as new players, or by replacing any existing player you already have. #hockeycoach #hockeyapp #drills #hockeylovers #coaching pic.twitter.com/45IU3RXC24
