Welcome to the next installment in a series of weekly videos from Hockey Coach Vision!
Each Wednesday for the next several weeks, the staff at Hockey Coach Vision, including Larry Huras, Filip Kostovic and Franjo Zajec, will release a new training video to help you as a coach pass on hockey-specific tips, training and skills to the next generation of ice hockey players.
In our sixth installment, Hockey Coach Vision continues with “Antii Center Ice Scramble.”
This is a general warm up drill for almost all ages and levels. It gets a lot of players moving at the same time at the start of practice.
– All players line up on their blue lines in their five player units
– Five players at a time take pucks and do evasive skating until coach blows the whistle
– Forwards now break off and go into opposite end for alternating shots while D men come back against their own goalie
– Quick feet and hands
– Keep your head up
– Work quick pivots left and right
