EDMONTON — Nearly 500 players from 32 teams spanning two Canadian Provinces converged at Terwillegar Rec Center in Edmonton, Alberta from May 17-19, and the result was six new champions crowned by OneHockey, one of the leaders of organized youth hockey tournaments world-wide.

All told, approximately 480 youth ice hockey players from Alberta and Saskatchewan participated in the three-day weekend extravaganza, and when the ice chips settled six new champions spanning 2007 to 2011 age groups celebrated with the OneHockey cup.

OneHockey is also pleased to announce a partnership with Pro Hockey Life, the world’s hockey-centric retailer for equipment, products and fanfare.

As part of the sponsorship, a Pro Hockey Life Challenge was on hand featuring a stickhandling skills interactive event utilizing the SuperDeker training aid.

“Pro Hockey Life prides itself on being the ultimate destination for hockey players and fans alike, and the brand is proud to continue its support for Canada’s game by sponsoring OneHockey’s Edmonton tournament,” Geoff Sarjeant, Associate Vice President of Hockey, Canadian Tire Corporation, said.

“It’s exciting to have Pro Hockey Life attend our Edmonton event,” Fortier added. “Just more fun things for our players to do in between tournament games. I’d like to thank Pro Hockey Life for supporting youth hockey.”
