ASTON — It may be the dog days of summer, but the underdogs had their way at OneHockey’s Philadelphia Summer Challenge.

Over 550 players from 36 ice hockey teams spanning eight states and Canadian provinces converged at the Aston IceWorks Skating Complex this past weekend, and when the ice chips melted nine new team champions were crowned by OneHockey.

OneHockey, among the leaders, world-wide, in organized youth hockey tournaments, delivered yet another summer smash as players took a break from the heat to mellow inside the cool confines in Aston competing in nine different divisions including, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2010, 2011 and U-16, U-18 and U-20 age groups July 26-28.

“Again it was top notch,” Sebastien Fortier, OneHockey CEO, said. “Stephane Charbonneau and his staff are so much fun to work with.  Great hockey from top to bottom. The U-20 Division was incredible and we have decided to offer U-21 next summer from July 24-26. Looking forward to seeing everyone at our winter tournaments.”
