NEWARK — “Captain’s Night” — one of the most highly anticipated events of the season signaling yet another year of high school hockey in the Garden State.

Over 200 high school team captains from 105 schools were on hand at the 13th annual “Captain’s Night” as the New Jersey Devils hosted the Dallas Stars at Prudential Center in Newark.

“Captain’s Night is a special way to kickoff the high school hockey season in New Jersey,” Morristown-Beard coach and President of the Devils’ Alumni Association Bruce Driver said. “It’s great to see so many schools across New Jersey represented by all of these exceptional student-athletes.

“This is the most schools represented, more than ever before and we’re thrilled to see representation from all over the state,” Driver said.
