2019-20 NHL Schedule Preview and Team Capsules

The 2019-20 National Hockey League season is less than two weeks away.

On Wednesday, Oct. 2, the St. Louis Blues host the Washington Capitals at Enterprise Center for a Stanley Cup banner raising to kick off what is sure to be another high-flying, hair-raising 2019-20 NHL season. The Toronto Maple Leafs host the Ottawa Senators and the Vegas Golden Knights travel to the Shark Tank to play the San Jose Sharks while the Vancouver Canucks, celebrating their 50th anniversary, kick off five decades of NHL hockey on Opening Night when they entertain the Edmonton Oilers at Rogers Place.

The NHL Global Series continues with the Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers beginning the 2019-20 season, this year in Prague of the Czech Republic at 02 Arena two days later on Oct. 4. The Buffalo Sabres will face-off with the Tampa Bay Lightning in Stockholm, Sweden Nov. 8-9 as well next month as NHL world-wide expansion continues.

The Calgary Flames and Winnipeg Jets will feature throwback uniforms in the 2019 Tim Horton’s NHL Heritage Classic at Mosiac Stadium in Regina, Saskatchewan  on Oct. 26 before the Dallas Stars and Nashville Predators take to the ice at the Cotton Bowl in Dallas, Texas for the 2020 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic New Year’s Day. St. Louis will play host to the 2020 Honda NHL All-Star Weekend Jan. 23-26.
